Eye Test - Visual Acuity 1.6

The Tumbling E-test (ETDRS based) assesses visual acuity using the logMAR scoring metric, known as the Line Scoring Method. The test provides corresponding decimal equivalents for easy reference. In this application, logMAR scores range from -0.2 to 0.70, with decimal equivalents spanning from 0.2 to 1.58. A decimal score below 1.0 indicates subnormal acuity, necessitating consultation with an optometrist or an ophthalmologist.

If fewer than three correct answers are achieved per line of five during the test, the assessment will conclude. In the event that the first line does not meet this criterion, no result will be generated.

Instructions for app usage:

1. Have an assistant hold the device and swipe the screen according to your instructions.
2. Situate yourself 3 meters away from the screen and instruct your assistant to begin the test when you are settled. Take your time with each task.
3. Include a photograph of the eye(s) being tested.
4. Share your results with your optometrist or ophthalmologist for professional evaluation.
